subaltern vs lay person — nope not all are layperson or subaltern, but may be layperson in certain situations, subaltern in other situations and even “professionals” in other situations.

Off the subject, my apology. I read other low-education Deaf people’s comments against Deafhood book and author and their mention of some Deaf people who could not read college-level book such as Paddy Ladd’s “thick” book. I am wondering if Paddy Ladd would glady give the permission to have someone who has the talents to translate his book into the “thin” easy-reading book (Not video)for these Deaf people. Some Deaf (low-education) people said that they would not come to Deafhood workshop because they have had a hard time understanding his book. Is there a chance to make thin book for these low-level Deaf people? It would be nice to see that it will happen.

Im working on my book its more of novel.. it just need editing, Im not sure if Im good enough to do this or need some help with my writing habit… I dont know… I tell you, finding editor, publishing are very hard to find and trustworthy to work and help me with my book..lot of times they are very picking with writing … THanks
