Mentions that before Oralism, Deaf artists created art that had political messages and gained recognition from the majority culture(s), but that drastically reduced during the heyday of Oralism. Artists made a good comeback during the Resurgence. Recently, Deaf arts organizations have popped worldwide, giving support to Deaf artists.
