Dual Adaptation in Deaf Brains

Summarizes research study of Deaf (signing compared to Oral nonsigning) and Hearing people in regards to how the auditory portions of their brains process information. Found both signing and oral Deaf have rewired the auditory portions of their brains to process visual information. In addition, study found signing Deaf use the left brain’s auditory center for linguistic information.
